Who We Are

Diesel Spill UPDATE

The Final Numbers Are In!
The final cost is $169,000. Minus the $73,000 already paid, we owe $96,000.
We will be doing fundraisers through the year to pay off this debt. If you would like to do a fundraiser or make a charitable donation, please let us know or click on our donate button. You can specify "area of greatest need" or "diesel spill bill" for designation of your donation.
Thank you for walking this journey with us. We see an end in sight!

Before
After
Family Promise Mat-Su is nestled between the Chugiak and Talkeetna Mountains, about 40 miles north of Anchorage, Alaska. Affectionally referred to as "The Valley", there are over 20,00 residents in an area the size of West Virginia. 35% of this population is considered homeless. Our goal at Family Promise Mat-Su is to provide a holistic approach in helping families experiencing homelessness through their journey to housing. We partner with local churches to provide warm meals, family activities, and overnight hosting. We provide shelter for their pets, transportation for school/day care, and life skills classes through partnerships in the community.
Our mission is to help homeless and low-income families in the Mat-Su Valley achieve sustainable independence.
