Terms of Use

Family Promise Mat-Su is more than a shelter for homeless families.  Along with Case Management and Volunteer hosting, we provide rental and utility assistance to prevent homelessness.  After an approved application for assistance, a case manager meets with individuals and families who are facing evictions or have a shut-off notice.  We pledge to pay a portion of their bill, and help them figure a way to pay a little, too.  It's a hand up instead of a hand-out.  We believe this allows families to have ownership of their situation while helping themselves get back on top.

Another program we provide is Pets With A Promise.  Any individual in any shelter in the valley can rest easily, knowing their pet is in a safe place.  Owners are responsible for feeding, watering, cleaning litter boxes, and letting dogs out daily.  Our pet shelter is provided by PetSmart.
